A simple and elegant tartare made with Le Fumoir’s Light-Smoked Salmon Tartare Cubes, gently mixed with extra virgin olive oil, fresh lemon juice, capers, shallot, and a touch of pepper. Fresh, delicate, and full of subtle smoky flavour.

  • BASE
  • Salmon Tartare Cubes — 200g
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil — 1 tbsp
  • Fresh Lemon Juice — 1 tbsp
  • SEASONING
  • Capers — 1 tbsp, drained
  • Shallot — 1 tbsp, finely diced
  • Chives — 1 tbsp, finely chopped
  • White Pepper — to taste
  • GARNISH
  • Lemon Wedge — 1 piece
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil — drizzle
  • Capers — garnish

Keep the Salmon Tartare Cubes chilled until just before serving for the freshest texture and flavour.

Method(5 Mins)

  1. 01 Place the Salmon Tartare Cubes in a chilled bowl.
  2. 02 Add the extra virgin olive oil, fresh lemon juice, capers, shallot and chives.
  3. 03 Season lightly with white pepper and mix gently without breaking the salmon cubes.
  4. 04 Plate the tartare neatly in the centre of the plate and finish with a light drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.
  5. 05 Garnish with a few capers, add a lemon wedge on the side and enjoy!
