Classic Salmon Tartare
A simple and elegant tartare made with Le Fumoir’s Light-Smoked Salmon Tartare Cubes, gently mixed with extra virgin olive oil, fresh lemon juice, capers, shallot, and a touch of pepper. Fresh, delicate, and full of subtle smoky flavour.
Ingredients(1 Person)
- BASE
- Salmon Tartare Cubes — 200g
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil — 1 tbsp
- Fresh Lemon Juice — 1 tbsp
- SEASONING
- Capers — 1 tbsp, drained
- Shallot — 1 tbsp, finely diced
- Chives — 1 tbsp, finely chopped
- White Pepper — to taste
- GARNISH
- Lemon Wedge — 1 piece
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil — drizzle
- Capers — garnish
Le Fumoir Tip
Keep the Salmon Tartare Cubes chilled until just before serving for the freshest texture and flavour.
Method(5 Mins)
- 01 Place the Salmon Tartare Cubes in a chilled bowl.
- 02 Add the extra virgin olive oil, fresh lemon juice, capers, shallot and chives.
- 03 Season lightly with white pepper and mix gently without breaking the salmon cubes.
- 04 Plate the tartare neatly in the centre of the plate and finish with a light drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.
- 05 Garnish with a few capers, add a lemon wedge on the side and enjoy!
